Chiropractors in Kanata : Expectations
Your First Visit to Hazeldean Chiropractic
When you arrive for your initial chiropractic consultation, you will be warmly welcomed by Ayela, one of our Chiropractic Assistants. She will have you fill out some simple forms about your past and current health history (can be downloaded and filled out at home) Once completed, Julia, our examination specialist, will take you to the examination room where she will review with you what you filled out on the initial intake forms. She will then go share all the information with your Doctor.
At that point, your Doctor will come in the examination room to welcome you to the clinic and to complete the exam. Some of the tests your Doctor might do include a postural assessment, motion palpation of your spine, and spinal x-rays if necessary.
Once the examination is complete, Ayela will schedule you for the Report of Findings visit.
The initial visit should take approximately 45 minutes. You don’t need to bring anything specific for your first visit.
Your Second Visit
Ayela will greet you for your Report of Findings visit.
The first part of the report is done in a group setting with other new patients and will be an overview of how the doctor works for structural correction of the spine and this information applies to everyone. Your specific health concerns will not be addressed in front of the group.
Once the initial portion of the report is completed, your Doctor will bring you and your spouse (if applicable) to a private room in order to review his or her recommendations for your care.

At that time, if you decide to start care, you will receive your first Chiropractic adjustment.
The entire report of findings takes approximately 2 hours.
A Typical Office Visit
You will always be warmly welcomed by Ayela, one of our Chiropractic Assistants.
Once your Doctor is ready to see you, Ayela will let you know that you can go back to the adjustment area. You will be adjusted and, if necessary, given specific home recommendations.
Your adjustment should take no longer than a few minutes. We do our best to run on time at the clinic.
