A Balanced Spine Means A Healthy Body

person working at desk with back painDaily wear and tear gradually take a toll on the condition of your house, both inside and outside. Adverse weather conditions shift the foundation, windows and doors warp, rugs and floors wear down. You spend time and money keeping up to date with regular upgrades and renovations so that you have a safe place to live. On the renovation site, the foreman needs to communicate clearly with all contractors. If communication breaks down, the repairs and renovations are not done, and the house deteriorates further.

From the top of your head to the tip of your toes your body is like a house, always requiring repair and renovation. Accidents, poor posture, stress and lifestyle take a toll on your body. In your body, the brain is the foreman – the director of all the organs and functions, including healing.

The flow of information – communication – between your brain and the rest of your body (via the nerves) must occur freely for your body to function optimally. Any interruption – subluxated vertebrae in the spine, for example – hampers this communication, meaning your brain can no longer freely communicate with parts of your body. If communication breaks down, your body’s ability to function optimally deteriorates.

Chiropractic Can Help

Chiropractic care is so much more than simply a means of relieving pain. The goal of receiving chiropractic adjustments should be to restore the body to its natural state of optimal health and functioning.
