Once I go to a chiropractor, will I always have to go?

The short answer, “no.” We are here to serve you as long as you want. Once we sit down together, we can discuss your health goals, and then determine the best course of action together.

Does a chiropractic adjustment hurt?

No, it should not. You might be surprised how light and gentle an adjustment can be. It does not have to be rough to get results. We just have to be very specific. This being said, a very small percentage of people when they start care might have a bit of discomfort in the area where an adjustment was performed. The good news is that it is usually very short lasting and does not happen past the first few visits should it happen.

Can chiropractic cure everything?

Unfortunately, no. We recommend discussing your current health concerns with your chiropractor, and he or she can let you know if chiropractic may help, or if you may need to be referred to another health professional.

Why would I have my newborn or young child adjusted?

Newborns and young children have spines just like adults. Just like we maintain our teeth, we need to maintain our spine from an early age. Although newborns or young children don’t spend 8-10 hours a day working at a computer, the birth process, and the multiple slips and falls as they learn to move around, may affect their spine.

As a result, we recommend that all our parents have their children checked for their well-being and to prevent any future issues.

Does insurance cover chiropractic visits?

Many insurance plans include coverage for chiropractic care. Check with your plan provider for details.

How much does it cost?

Our fee per adjustment is $50.00. Once we have had the opportunity to discuss your health concerns, we can let you know how long we believe your care will take, how many adjustments you will require, and any of the costs involved for your care.

Do I need a referral from my physician?

No. Chiropractors are primary care providers, just like your medical doctor. Therefore, no referral is needed.

Do you work with medical doctors?

Yes.

Will I get adjusted on my first visit?

In most cases, no. Your first visit is an in-depth assessment, so that we can determine how we can help your current health concerns. A second follow-up (report of findings) visit will be scheduled shortly after, as early as the day after if possible. In most cases, we can start your care at that time.

Will you suggest exercises or other things I can do?

Yes. In most cases, spinal rehabilitation exercises are needed.

Can someone who has had back surgery see a chiropractor?

Yes. This being said, the nature of the surgery might affect how we can proceed and create certain limitations to care. Every scenario needs to be evaluated case-by-case.

I’ve seen a different chiropractor in the past. I think I just need an adjustment. Can you see me?

We can definitely help, but even though you have seen a different chiropractor in the past, we would still need to do a full assessment before we start your care, since we do not know anything about your past health history, and we would have to determine how to best proceed with your care.

Do you do direct billing?

No, but our team is fantastic at providing any receipts you would need to submit your insurance claims. In our experience, claims are reimbursed shortly after being submitted.
