Happy Birthday Chiropractic!

Chiroprqactor adjusting patient's backOn September 18, 1895 Daniel David Palmer, a Canadian natural healer, brought us Chiropractic.

The janitor in the building where Palmer worked had lost his hearing years earlier after bending over and hearing a popping sound in his spine. After much resistance, the janitor allowed Palmer to use his hands to push a misaligned spinal bone back into a more normal position. What happened? The janitor’s hearing returned!

What did that adjustment prove? Nerve interference, caused by misaligned spinal vertebrae (subluxations), can interfere with the proper functioning of the organs and tissues of our body.

Today, we still see incredible results, using the most advanced chiropractic techniques to help you live your life to the fullest.

Let’s bust some myths about Chiropractic which still exist 125 years later!

Myth: If you are not in pain, you don’t need chiropractic care.
Fact: Just because you don’t have any pain, doesn’t mean that you have no pre-symptomatic subluxations in your spine. Subluxations cause nerve interference which, if left uncorrected, will eventually result in pain and dysfunction (much like the early stages of tooth decay.)

Myth: Chiropractors only deal with back pain.
Fact: While chiropractors can help with back pain, they help improve the body’s ability to heal itself by addressing the health of the spine and, consequently, the health of the nervous system. This is done by adjusting misaligned spinal bones back into a normal alignment. A healthy nervous system means that every other system of the body is functioning optimally.
